Palworld Breeding Farm Setup

The Breeding Farm is the structure that makes breeding possible. Here's how to unlock it, what it costs, and how to get the most out of it.

Unlocking the Breeding Farm

Reach level 19 and spend a Technology point on the Breeding Farm in the tech tree. It becomes available to build immediately afterward.

Build cost

  • 100× Wood
  • 20× Stone
  • 50× Fiber

All three are early-game materials — chop trees for Wood and Fiber and mine rocks for Stone, or assign Pals with Lumbering and Mining work suitability to gather them automatically.

Placement tips

The farm has a large footprint, so flatten a wide area at your base. Keep it close to your Egg Incubators and a Cake supply so you're not hauling eggs and ingredients across the map. Parents assigned to the farm still need food, so keep a Feed Box stocked nearby.

Running multiple farms

Multi-generation passive-stacking projects go far faster with 2–3 farms running at once. Each farm needs its own Cake supply, so scale your Ranch (Mozzarina, Chikipi, Beegarde) and Wheat production accordingly. Many players dedicate one whole base to breeding.

Next steps

Once your farm is running, plug your target Pal into the breeding calculator to find the parents you need, and read the Cake recipe guide to automate your Cake supply.

FAQ

How much does the Breeding Farm cost?

Can you have more than one Breeding Farm?

Yes. Running multiple farms lets you breed several Pals at once — useful for multi-generation passive-stacking projects. Each farm needs its own Cake supply.
