Palworld Patch 1.0.3 Explained
Updated 2026-08-13 · 5 min read
Patch 1.0.3 landed on August 12, 2026 on all platforms. It adds no new Pals and does not touch the breeding table — every one of the 44,849 combinations in our breeding calculator is unchanged — but several balance changes matter a lot for how you breed, catch and build.
Jetragon comes 9 levels earlier
The headline change: Jetragon-related technologies now unlock at level 70 instead of 79, and the Pal Gear got cheaper — the Missile Launcher now costs 48 Soralite Ingots (previously 60 Paloxite Ingots) and needs 12 AI Cores instead of 24. Jetragon is still catch-only (you can't breed it from other species), but once you've caught one, the fastest mount in the game is now rideable almost a full tier earlier.
Double Fiber from trees
The amount of Fiber obtained from chopping trees has been doubled. Fiber feeds directly into the breeding pipeline — the Breeding Farm itself costs 100 Wood, 20 Stone and 50 Fiber — and into most early base structures, so a logging Pal on duty now sets up your breeding farm and base roughly twice as fast.
Sphere Launcher fire rate reduced
The Sphere Launcher's fire rate was nerfed to stop rapid-fire capture spam. If you relied on hosing bosses down with spheres, expect captures to take longer — the fundamentals on our capture rate page matter more now: drop the target's HP low, apply a status effect, throw from behind for the back bonus, and use the highest sphere tier you can craft.
Water bases unlocked for everyone
The Aquatic Construction Kit dropped from technology level 66 to level 23, and from 4 Ancient Technology Points to 1. Building on water is no longer an endgame luxury — a mid-game base over water is now a realistic home for your breeding operation.
Everything else in brief
- World Tree Holy Water — weight cut from 1 to 0.1, longer effect duration, and new sources: World Tree expeditions, fishing and Large Fishing Pond rewards.
- Crude Oil — Crude Oil Extractors are cheaper to build and produce faster.
- Fixes — item duplication, several PS5/Xbox crashes, multiplayer lighting and raid-boss progression bugs.
What did NOT change
No new Pals were added (the Paldeck stays at 299 — browse it in the Paldeck), and no breeding combinations changed. Everything on this site — parent pairings, Breeding Power values, unique combos and passive inheritance — is verified against 1.0.3.
