Palworld Online: The Mobile MMO Explained

Palworld Online is a mobile-only MMORPG developed and published by Garena under an official license from Pocketpair, announced on August 3, 2026. It is a separate game from Palworld 1.0 on PC and console — not a port — with its own narrative setting, and it is targeting a release on iOS and Android later in 2026.
What is confirmed
- Developer/publisher: Garena, with an official Pocketpair license. Pocketpair is not developing it.
- Platforms: iOS and Android only.
- Release window: 2026 — no exact date, no pre-registration window and no beta date have been announced yet.
- Genre: a persistent-world MMORPG built around playing together, with PvE fights and PvP battles.
- Core loop: the pillars of the original are kept — capturing Pals, base building, and survival/crafting — inside a shared open world.
- Story: a new narrative setting distinct from the main game, plus original side stories written for the MMO.
What is NOT known yet
Garena has not announced pricing or the business model, server regions, a Pal roster, or any system details. In particular, nothing has been said about how breeding works in Palworld Online — whether it uses the main game's Breeding Power pairing table, a simplified system, or something new. Any site claiming to list Palworld Online breeding combos today is guessing.
Not to be confused with Palworld Mobile (Krafton)
There are two separate licensed Palworld mobile games in development, and they are easy to mix up:
- Palworld Online (Garena) — the MMORPG described on this page: a reimagining with a new story, persistent shared world, PvE and PvP. Announced August 3, 2026.
- Palworld Mobile (Krafton) — a faithful adaptation of the original game for mobile, developed by the PUBG Studios team under a license signed in October 2024. It was playable at G-STAR 2025 in Busan and ran a closed regional alpha in Japan and South Korea in December 2025. Its global release is widely expected in late 2026 or early 2027, but no official date exists.
In short: Krafton's version aims to replicate the PC survival experience on your phone, while Garena's version rebuilds Palworld as a mobile MMO. Pocketpair is also making its own PC spin-off, Palworld Palfarm, a farming-life game — also without a release date.
Does this change anything for PC and console players?
No. Palworld Online is a separate product; Palworld 1.0 on PC and console continues to get its own patches (the latest is patch 1.0.3, August 12, 2026). Everything on this site — the breeding calculator, all 299 Pals in the Paldeck and the 44,849 verified combinations — applies to the main game, and we will cover Palworld Online's breeding system once Garena actually reveals it.
