The Level-20 Breeding Chain for Top Base Pals

Starting with just four Pals you can get around level 20, you can chain-breed nearly every top-tier worker in the game — long before you'd ever meet them in the wild. Every step below is verified against the same datamined 1.0 pairing table that powers our calculator, so nothing here is guesswork.
Before you start
- Breeding Farm — unlocks at level 19 (see the setup guide).
- Cake supply — one Cake per egg (see the Cake recipe).
- Grintale in your party — in 1.0, Grintale's reworked partner skill gives a 50% chance of an extra egg every time you pick one up (craft its saddle first; condensing raises the chance up to 75%; it does not stack with a second Grintale). It's a level ~17 catch near the starting area, so grab one before your first breed.
The four starters
- Warsect — sold by Black Marketeers for roughly 30,000 gold. If it isn't in stock, reload (single-player) or check back later; also note the gender you get.
- Digtoise — catch one in the desert, or from low-level NPC tamers; re-catch until you have both genders.
- Fuack — common around the starting area.
- Grintale — doubles as a breeding parent later in the chain.

Bonus: unlimited Honey without catching Beegarde
Need Beegarde for your Cake ranch but can't find one? Breed Penking + Cinnamoth — the child is Beegarde. The alpha Penking near the Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings plus a Cinnamoth from the forest just north of it gets you there around level 15–20.
Adapting the chain
Genders won't always cooperate — expect to hatch a few extras at some steps (that's what the Grintale egg bonus is for). And if you already own a Pal mid-chain, skip ahead: paste any two Pals into the calculator to confirm a step, or use the Find Parents tool to route around a missing parent.
