Palworld Active Skills List — Every Attack Skill by Power

Every elemental active (attack) skill in Palworld 1.0, ranked by power. There are 56 shareable attack skills across all nine elements — the ones your Pals learn by levelling up or from Skill Fruits. Click any column heading to sort by element, power, learn level or how many Pals use it.

The single hardest-hitting move is Megaton Implode at 250 power; the best all-purpose Neutral skill is Megaton Implode (250). For each element, the top attack skill is: Fire Ball (Fire), Hydro Laser (Water), Solar Blast (Grass), Lightning Bolt (Electric), Blizzard Spike (Ice), Rock Lance (Ground), Dark Laser (Dark), Dragon Meteor (Dragon). Match a skill's element to your Pal's own element and it deals bonus same-type damage, so pick moves that line up with the Pal you're building.

How active skills work in Palworld

Active skills are the attacks your Pal uses in combat. Each Pal can equip up to 3 active skills at a time, chosen from the moves it has learned. A Pal learns new skills automatically as it levels up, but you don't have to wait — harvest a Skill Fruit from a Skill Fruit Tree (they spawn around the map and can be farmed) and use it to teach a specific skill instantly. See the full Skill Fruits guide.

  • Match the element — a Fire Pal using a Fire skill (like Fire Ball) gets a same-type damage bonus, and that element is strong or weak against others per the type chart.
  • Power isn't everything — high-power moves like Pal Blast (150) have long cooldowns; lower-power skills fire faster. A good loadout mixes one heavy hitter with quicker moves.
  • Swap freely — you can overwrite an equipped skill with a Skill Fruit at any time, so keep upgrading as your Pal levels.

Active skills come from the Pal itself, while its partner skill and inherited passive skills stack on top. Build the Pal you want with the breeding calculator, then teach it the best skills above.

Active skills FAQ

What is the strongest active skill in Palworld?

Megaton Implode is the highest-power active skill in Palworld 1.0 at 250 power, ahead of Bee Quiet (200). Among the standard elemental skills, the 150-power "laser/blast" moves — Fire Ball, Hydro Laser, Solar Blast, Lightning Bolt and others — hit hardest.

How do Pals learn active skills in Palworld?

Pals learn active skills automatically as they level up, and you can also teach a skill early using a Skill Fruit harvested from a Skill Fruit Tree. Each Pal can hold up to 3 active skills at once, so swap in the highest-power move that matches its element.

Do active skills pass down through breeding?

A baby Pal starts with the default skills for its species, not its parents' learned moves — so breed for stats and passive skills, then teach the active skills you want with Skill Fruits afterward.

What is the best element attack skill in Palworld?

The top single-element attack skills are all 150 power: Fire Ball (Fire), Hydro Laser (Water), Solar Blast (Grass), Lightning Bolt (Electric), Blizzard Spike (Ice). Match the skill's element to your Pal's element for the extra same-type damage bonus.
